Zizzi was established in 2009 by Gill Rustidge, Zizzis founder and owner. A businesswoman with many years experience in the fashion and textiles industries, Gill had been on the lookout for a new business idea for a while.

One night, Gill was expecting guests. She changed into a pair of shoes, and wondered why she didnt own a pair of stylish slippers that could be kept on when guests arrived. After much research, she realised there was a gap in the market for smart, glamourous slippers, and Zizzi (from the word zizz meaning sleep), was born.
